We have two vegetable gardens.
They are just outside Katrineholm and Malmköping

We got two gardners, Lars Feddeck in Katrineholm and jan Andersson in Malmöping. They grow organically and ecologically. It is grown without toxic pesticides and fertilizers. Just the way we want it.

Our vegetables, fruits and berries are delivered directly to our restaurant twice a week.

– This has been our dream for a long time. We’ve made the dream come true now, and work closely with Kalle. We’re very involved in the planning and selection of what we grow. – For us, it’s all about the smell and the flavour. From the moment the vegetables first sprout to when they’re fully ripe at harvest time in autumn.

The soil we use is from the bed of an old lake. The high mineral content tends to deepen the vegetables flavour. 
– The lake is still in retreat, so it continues to permeate into the soil. In early autumn, we’re waiting for celeriac, carrots, onions, apples and sweet corn.

Sweet corn? Many people might ask, “What’s that doing in a Swedish kitchen’s garden?” – More than you think. Already, back when Linnaeus was growing up, his father grew sweet corn in their garden in Stenbrohult. Back then he called it “Turkish wheat.” 

We will have the exciting, unusual, ordinary, new and old varieties of vegetables. Our ambition: to eventually become totally self-sufficient.
